Frühling – Spring

Frühling – Die Natur erwacht zu neuem Leben. Die ersten Blüten an den Bäumen, Vogelgezwitscher und hellere Tage – das fällt mir spontan zum Frühling ein. Was sind eure ersten Gedanken zu diesem Thema?

Spring – Nature is coming alive again. The first blossoms on the trees, birds twitter and brighter days – these are the first things I relate to spring. What are your first thoughts on this theme?

Wir möchten allen ganz herzlich für die Teilnahme an diesem Challenge danken. Wir durften so viele wunderbare Ideen und Techniken bewundern, das man den Mund vor staunen fast gar nicht mehr geschlossen wurde. Mir ist aufgefallen, das Gesso bei vielen zur Zeit sehr hoch im Kurs steht und wie wir sehen konten, wird es auf verschiedenste Weise eingesetzt. Mir hat hat es viel Spaß gemacht und euch hoffentlich auch, so dass wir euch auch bei unserer nächsten Herausforderung wiedersehen

We would like to thank you all for participating in this challenge. We saw so many wonderful ideas and techniques making us speachless with amazement. I noticed that gesso is very popular for many of us at the moment and it is used in many different ways. I really enjoyed it, hope you too, and I hope we’ll meet again at our next challenge

Im Hinblick auf die Stempelmesse-Sued haben Dani und ich am Wochenende ein wenig experimentiert und da wir Manschtanten sind, habe ich mich entschieden euch schon mal einen kleinen Vorgeschmack auf das Ereignis im April zu geben.

Manscht ihr auch so gerne? Ja, dann los, holt eure Farbtöpfe, Pinsel, Gesso, Kleber etc. hervor und legt los. Zeigt uns euren Lieblingseffekt

Da es mit großen Schritten auf die Stempelmesse-Sued zugeht und ich nicht vorher dazu gekommen bin, zeige ich euch zum Abschluss zu diesem tollen Thema mein ATC, neben einer Auswahl von Werken, die wir in dieser Woche betrachten konnten.
Transparent Art ist so vielseitig und faszinierend, das ich am Liebsten die Herausforderung verlängern würde, aber wir wollen ja nicht das euch langweilig wird und so lade ich euch heute zum Experimentieren ein. Seit gespannt …

As the Stempelmesse-Sued is quickly coming closer and I didn’t have any time before, I would like to finally show you the ATC I made for this great theme, together with a selection of works we were able to see in this week.

….diese Woche habe ich mir „Transparent Art“ als Thema ausgesucht.

Zeigt uns eure Ideen rund um alles was durchscheinend ist. Auf Folie gestempelt oder Bilder auf Folie gedruckt, dünnes Plastik oder Mica Tiles. Alles was transparent ist eignet sich hervorragend um einer Karte oder ATC noch mehr Tiefe zu verleihen. Wir freuen uns schon wieder auf eure tollen Ideen!!!!!!!

….This week I chose „Transparent Art“ as our new theme.

Show us your ideas centred around transparency. Stamped on foil, or images printed on foil, thin plastic or mica tiles. Anything transparent is well suited to add even more depth to a card or an ATC. We’re already looking forward to see your great ideas!!!!!!!

„Kleider machen Leute“ – Diese Woche müsste man den Spruch aber ein wenig umstellen. Kleider machen auch ATCs Und das haben sie ganz bestimmt! Die Vielfalt an Farben, Formen und Stilen war einfach wunderbar. Thanks for your participation!

„Clothes make the man“ – However, this week this saying will have to be slightly modified. Clothes also make the ATC And they sure did! The variety in colours, forms and styles was really wonderful. Vielen Dank für eure Teilnahme!

Mode – Fashion

Diese Woche möchte ich euch in die bunte Welt der Mode entführen. Ich bin absolut kein Fashion Victim, aber hier geht es ja auch nicht nur um die neuesten Trends, sondern vielleicht um prachtvolle Roben der Renaissance und anderer Epochen, oder den Look der 20er-Jahre, Kleider aus Bollywood-Filmen und Karnevalkostüme, oder vielleicht doch die verrückten Kreationen der Pariser Fashion Shows. Das ist ein breit gefächertes Thema und wir sind schon sehr gespannt auf eure ATCs.

This week, I’d like to take you to the colourful world of fashion. I’m far from being a fashion victim, but this is not only about the most recent trends, but possibly about the gorgeous robes of the renaissance and other eras, or the look of the 20s, dresses from Bollywood films and carnival costumes, or maybe still the crazy creations of the Paris Fashion Shows. This is a very diversified theme and we can’t wait to see your ATCs.

Triptych/Triptychon

   

Heute fordern wir euch heraus ein Triptych zu gestalten, das Thema ist frei nur die Form ist wichtig.
Triptychon (griechisch triptychos = dreifach) – dreigeteiltes Gemälde, bestehend aus einer Mitteltafel und zwei meist schmaleren Flügeln.

Today we challenge you to make a triptych. The theme is open, only the form is important.
Triptych (Greek for threefold) – a work of art that is divided into three sections, a middle part flanked by two (usually smaller) related works

Sampler of the week – Africa

Obwohl es hier noch recht kühl und vor allem sehr stürmig ist, konnten wir diese Woche zumindest am PC etwas Wärme aufkommen lassen, denn unsere virtuelle Reise ging nach Afrika. Die Wärme der Farben, Bilder und Eindrücke war wirklich beeindruckend. Vielen Dank für eure Teilnahme!

Although it is still quite cold here and above all very stormy, we felt at least a little bit of warmth while sitting at our PCs this week, as we embarked on a virtual journey to Africa. The warmth of the colours, pictures and impressions was quite amazing. Thanks for participating!
